Il Panathīnaïkos Athlītikos Omilos (in greco: Παναθηναϊκός Αθλητικός Όμιλος, Club Atletico di Tutti gli Ateniesi), noto più semplicemente come Panathinaikos, Pao o Pana, è una società polisportiva greca con sede ad Atene.
La squadra di calcio del Panathinaikos, la cui attività iniziò il 3 febbraio 1908, data di fondazione della polisportiva, gioca le partite interne allo Stadio olimpico Spyros Louīs e milita nella Souper Ligka Ellada, la massima serie del campionato greco di calcio fin dalla sua istituzione, avvenuta nel 1959. Insieme a Olympiakos e AEK Atene è una delle grandi di Grecia; nella sua storia ha conquistato 20 campionati nazionali e 18 Coppe di Grecia, mentre a livello internazionale il miglior risultato raggiunto dal club, il più prestigioso traguardo internazionale per una squadra di calcio ellenica, è la finale della Coppa dei Campioni 1970-1971, persa contro l'Ajax (questo non impedì comunque ai greci di partecipare alla Coppa Intercontinentale 1971 stante la rinuncia degli olandesi).
Per distinguersi dalle altre sezioni sportive, il settore calcistico usa spesso presentarsi su testi anglofoni come Panathinaikos FC, sebbene l'originale ed ufficiale denominazione greca coincida con quella della polisportiva generale. Nomi particolari attengono invece agli altri sport, tra i quali quello della sezione cestistica, che è tra le principali realtà europee nella sua specialità.

Apostolos Nikolaidis Stadium (Greek: Στάδιο Απόστολος Νικολαΐδης) is a football stadium and multi-sport center in Athens, Greece. It was inaugurated in 1922 and is the oldest football stadium in Greece currently active. It is the traditional athletic center of Panathinaikos A.C. and has been the home ground of Panathinaikos FC for the most part of the club's existence.
The stadium is named after the historic club's president, official and athlete Apostolos Nikolaidis. It is situated in the Ambelokipi district of Athens, east of the Lycabettus Hill and on Alexandras Avenue, by which name it is most commonly known (Leoforos Alexandras or simply Leoforos, Leoforos meaning Avenue). The stadium's record attendance was recorded in 1967, when 29,665 spectators watched the Cup Winners Cup game between Panathinaikos and FC Bayern Munich.
The venue also houses a small basketball and volleyball court, a small swimming pool, a boxing ring, club's offices and various other facilities.
