Red Star Football Club, also known simply as Red Star (French pronunciation: ), is a French association football club founded in Paris in 1897, and is the second oldest French football club, after Le Havre AC. The club currently plays in the Ligue 2, French second tier, after being promoted from Championnat National at the end of the 2017–18 season. Red Star plays its home matches at their traditional home stadium, Stade Bauer in Saint-Ouen after two years in exile while in French second tier. The team is managed by Faruk Hadžibegić and captained by Formose Mendy.
Despite the club's long spell under a semi-pro status, Red Star has a rich history. The club was founded in 1897 under the name Red Star Club Français by French football legend Jules Rimet. Rimet later went on to serve as president of both the French Football Federation and FIFA. The original FIFA World Cup Trophy was named in his honour. Red Star is one of the founding members of Ligue 1 and have spent 19 seasons in the first division; the club's last stint being in 1974–75. In cup competitions, the club has won five Coupe de France titles, which is tied for fifth-best among clubs.
In 2018, Red Star were promoted back to Ligue 2 as champions of the Championnat National. They were relegated again the following season, finishing bottom of Ligue 2. Their relegation was confirmed on 27 April 2019 after losing 2–1 to champions FC Metz.

The Stade de Paris (usually called Stade Bauer) is an 10,000-capacity football (soccer) stadium in Saint-Ouen, Seine-Saint-Denis in the northern suburbs of Paris. The stadium is mainly used by Red Star F.C. who currently play in the Ligue 2 but have tasted success in the Coupe de France, winning it on five occasions (1921, 1922, 1923, 1928, 1942).
It hosted some of the football events for the 1924 Summer Olympics. It also hosted a friendly game between Brazil and Andorra (3-0) during the 1998's World Cup in France
Stade de Paris was also the France national rugby league team's home ground for the 1935, 1936–37, 1938, and 1952–53 European Rugby League Championships.
Lately the stadium has fallen into bad shape, damaged heavily by a storm in 1999 and suffering from a lack of care since.
