Conner Washington will continue to excite the crowds with his high octane, athletic style of play as he re-joins the Leicester Riders this season.

Conner has previously represented Great Britain Under 20s at FIBA European Championships Division B as well as previously representing England Under-18s in FIBA European Championships.

Originally from Bedford where he studied at Milton Keynes college he also played for the Milton Keynes Lions where he played 26 BBL Championship games for their men’s team in the 2010/11 season at only 17 years old. Once Conner finished studying in MK he was a offered a scholarship to go to Southwest Baptist University in Missouri.

Following a short stay in America, Conner returned to the UK and joined the Leicester Riders for the remainder of the 2011/2012. At the start of the 2012/13 season Conner secured himself a deal to play for the Riders for three years while studying at Loughborough College. In his Final year at Loughborough Connor lead the University team to a BUCS championship before returning to the Riders the next season for his first season as a full time professional.

In his first stint with the Riders Washington played six seasons with the club helping to secure 9 pieces of silverware in the British Basketball League. In his final season with the Riders, in 2016/17, Washington averaged 7.7 points per game, 3 rebounds and 3 assists in 20 minutes of play. Washington played for Team FOG Naestved last season in Denmark in his first professional stint overseas averaging 8.8 points per game and 3.9 assists starting 19 out of his team’s 25 games in the top league in Denmark before returning to Leicester for the 2018/19 season.
