L'ASM Clermont Auvergne est un club de rugby à XV français basé à Clermont-Ferrand et actuellement présidé par Éric de Cromières 3. L'équipe première est entraînée par le Français Franck Azéma à partir de 2014 après 8 saisons sous la houlette du Néo-Zélandais Vern Cotter, et évolue dans le Top 14 et dispute la Coupe d'Europe. Le directeur sportif est Jean-Marc Lhermet.

Le club a été créé en 1911 par Marcel Michelin, fils d'André Michelin (le cofondateur avec son frère Édouard Michelin de la société française des pneumatiques Michelin). Le club porte alors le nom d'Association Sportive Michelin puis d'Association Sportive Montferrandaise4. Le club accède à l'élite à l'issue de la saison 1925 et ne l'a plus quitté depuis, ce qui en fait le seul club avec le Stade toulousain à n'avoir jamais quitté l'élité du rugby français. Le club atteint la finale du championnat dix fois entre 1936 et 2009 sans jamais pouvoir l'emporter. En 2010, l'ASM remporte enfin le bouclier de Brennus. Le club a, en outre, remporté le Challenge européen à deux reprises en 1999 et 2007.

The « Parc des Sports Marcel-Michelin » is a stadium located in Clermont-Ferrand and inaugurated in 1911. It belongs to the rugby union club ASM Clermont-Auvergne. It has the name of Marcel Michelin, manager of the Michelin tire group and founder of the Sportive Association Marcel Michelin. Then it has been renamed AS Montferrand, and ASM Clermont-Auvergne for the rugby department. Even if it’s the property of the ASM Clermont-Auvergne club, it was built on a plot rent as part of an emphyteutic lease (a type of very long term rent, it’s often 99 years) which belongs to Michelin tire firm.
