Description
Race 1
Josh Cook earned a spectacular victory at Brands Hatch in the opening race of the British Touring Car Championship season, gambling with tyre choice to win from 10th. Fog over the circuit meant the race start was delayed, and the top nine cars decided to switch to wet tyres. The BTC Racing driver’s decision to start the race on slick tyres paid off as he won by 2.7 seconds ahead of fellow dry tyre runner Jake Hill.

Race 2
Andrew Jordan scored a dominant win in the second British Touring Car Championship race at Brands Hatch as Ashley Sutton just hung on in a frenetic four-way battle for second.
WSR’s new BMW 330i M Sport chalked its first victory by 9.728 seconds thanks to Jordan running the hard compound tyres, but all eyes were on the four-car battle for second, which was decided by just 0.022s.
Sutton’s top speed struggles meant the pack concertinaed on the final lap and finished nose-to-tail. The 2017 champion just held on by 0.022s ahead of Morgan and Hill, with Ingram a tenth further back and Jelley just 0.008s off insixth.

Race 3
Tom Chilton won the final race of the BTCC season opener at Brands Hatch to move second in the standings, one point off leader Josh Cook.
The Motorbase driver won by 1.995s ahead of podium debutant Rory Butcher, while Matt Neal suffered a dramatic last lap suspension to plummet from third.
Tom Chilton lost his Brands Hatch final race victory after getting a five-second penalty for his clash with Matt Neal in the British Touring Car Championship season opener. The time penalty means Chilton drops only to second and maintains the runner-up spot in the standings behind Josh Cook.
As a result, AMD Tuning driver Rory Butcher has been handed the win and he claimed his first ever BTCC victory.
