Description
The Rocket Mortgage Classic is a professional golf tournament on the PGA Tour. It was first staged in 2019 at Detroit Golf Club in Detroit, Michigan. The tournament replaced the Quicken Loans National on the PGA Tour schedule. It is the first PGA Tour event in history to be held completely within the Detroit city limits. For the 2019 season, the event was part of the Open Qualifying Series, giving two non-exempt players entry into The Open Championship.
The event takes place Jul 01-04 and has a prize fund of $7,500,000

Cam Davis won the Rocket Mortgage Classic on Sunday for his first PGA TOUR title when Troy Merritt missed a 6-foot par putt on the fifth hole of a playoff.
Cameron Davis holed a 50-foot sand shot for eagle on the par-5 17th then birdied the 18th to close with a final round 67 joining Troy Merritt (68) and Joaquin Niemann (68) at 18-under 270 for a three-way playoff.
Niemann bogeyed the first playoff hole while Davis and Merritt played four more. Davis missed several birdie putts and both parred until the fifth hole where Merritt bogeyed and Davis won his first PGA Tour title.
