Description
Toyota driver Bernhard ten Brinke topped the 11th stage of the 2018 Dakar Rally, as Peugeot duo Carlos Sainz and Stephane Peterhansel maintained the status quo in the fight for overall victory.
Ten Brinke was the pace-setter for most of the day's running en route to wrapping up his second stage win in the Dakar – his first having come in the short opening test in the 2016 marathon.
Peugeot's Cyril Despres was the Dutchman's nearest rival on this occasion, finishing 4m35s off ten Brinke's pace through the 281km timed special of the Belen – Fiambala – Chilecito stage.
Despres' teammates Sainz and Peterhansel, first and second in the general classification, propped up the top four on the day.

Toby Price picked up his first stage win of the 2018 Dakar Rally on Wednesday, as overall leader Matthias Walkner nursed his advantage at the head of the standings.
KTM rider Price led at every waypoint of the 280km Belen-Fiambala stage, and ended up 1m38s clear of nearest rival Kevin Benavides (Honda) at the finish to grab the eighth stage win of his Dakar career.
The 2016 champion moves up to third in the general classification as a result, following the retirement of Joan Barreda, who had been Walkner's closest challenger at the start of the day.
After inheriting a healthy 39-minute lead on Tuesday, Walkner was only fifth-fastest on Wednesday, giving away 11 minutes to KTM teammate Price. It means his advantage is down to exactly 32 minutes over Benavides with three stages remaining.
