Motorbase Performance driver Ollie Jackson has won his first ever Kwik Fit British Touring Car Championship race after coming out on top of a truly sensational contest at Silverstone.
The action commenced in dramatic fashion with one of the biggest accidents in recent years, following brief contact with the Honda of Matt Neal, Butcher's Ford Focus careered into the barrier at high speed on the approach to Becketts, which pitched the Scot into a somersault before landing back on four-wheels with heavy damage.Thankfully, Butcher immediately emerged relatively unscathed from the incident – testament to the safety of the BTCC cars.
Despite coming under ferocious pressure for the entire race, Jackson somehow held on at the head of the field.
