| | Hey. There is a SportsDB Plex-Agent, but is not maintained for 2 years and seems to not working anymore (?). I have everything sorted correctly, and files named exactly like the example per Event, but within 5 Sports there are only 2 (Boxing) Events matched.
Maybe someone could take a look? I guess this could make a few new Users, as i am only discovered TheSportsDB because of that Agent aswell.

| | Hi yes mmmtasty gave up supporting that a long time ago, but it should still work.
We have not changed our API in any way since the start other than adding new methods so I don't think the issue is on our end.
If anyone needs some encouragement TheSportsDB could donate a few $100 for someone to fix it from our patreon income
Lets hope someone takes up the offer!
EDIT: Same offer applies to the Kodi Add-ons...

"Sports" is where i set Plex to scan the structure.
is there anything wrong?!

still not working :S
1. Are you mapping in Plex at the "media" folder level or at the "Sport" folder level? Should be the "Sport" folder level
2. Make sure you go to the event itself in the database, scroll to the bottom where the accepted filenames are, and final copy the filename and overwrite the file in your library with that filename.
3. Is the .mkv part of the filename? In windows you need to make sure you don't add the file extension because as far as the OS is concerned its added twice. In other words, the OS hides the extension from the filename for cleanliness so don't add it in again just because you can't see it.
They were the only gotcha's. The rest of the setup documentation to add the Agent into plex is straight forward.

| | I also couldn't get the original plex agent to work, had things named fine but nothing would come up, i didn't try for very long to be fair i just found a fork that was updated more recently and tried that which worked.

Still want to go back to the original and see if maybe i was doing something wrong

| | that one from nielk1 got merged into mmmmtasty's original one. it also it got a few new updates in the last couple of days from others as well. so hopefully it's finally working.

I have been playing around for a year now and for some reason most of the files were just not showing up on my Plex library Some were but most even the sections( boxing,football,ufc etc) didn't show.
Then today I switched the scanner to plex series scanner keeping the agent on SportsSanner and everything started loading.
The metadata and stuff didn't pull for individual events but atleast it's now showing.
Just incase someone else was having the same issue as me before.

| | I'm curious, I have the Plex agent as well, working like a charm except the THUMBNAILS don't show up for the event/game? Anyone have any idea how to fix it? The thumbnails as in the 2 teams playing each other (ex: https://www.thesportsdb.com/images/media/event/thumb/1kw8dm1653500680.jpg)
I believe the event thumbs aren't available in the free API, so I bought/susbcribed to get the premium API but no luck
