WWE ECW 2006 > 2007 Question (for Zag / Curwise)

Hi both,
In 2006, 2007 we had the relaunch of ECW under WWE.

WWE splits ECW (Original) and the WWE ECW as two different types.

Given that ECW in 2006 / 2007 ran in line with RAW and SMACKDOWN during that period. Are there any objections to having WWE ECW added into the WWE 2006 / 2007 Years, as to have the complete TV build up for example to Wrestlemania (hair vs hair / mcmahon vs trump) You would have had to have watched RAW, Smackdown and ECW.

Thoughts

I totally agree, any ECW event post-2001 should be under the WWE banner.

I actually had forgotten the weekly show happened, I'll get them added to the database now.

ta, any chance, you could drop Smackdown into 2006 and 2007 if u have a spare 5 mins?

Also, do you have any preference for the THUMB image? if so, more than happy to apply them to RAW and Smackdown if you can post me the image URL to download

Only just read this message or I would've done it earlier, sorry.

I'll do them now for you.

I'm assuming you mean the thumbs for 06/07 SmackDown, this is the logo I'd use https://static.wikia.nocookie.net/logopedia/images/3/3f/SmackDown%21_%2703-0.png

This is a good resource for what logos to use on what thumbs https://logos.fandom.com/wiki/WWE_Friday_Night_SmackDown if you click on them and then 'See image full size' at the top you can get large versions and sometimes vector versions too.

All done.

If you have Discord, jump on the site's server, I'm usually on there so I can respond to quick requests like that much faster.

I can't check I'm afraid, not used kodi in some time.

What exactly isn't scraping, some events or everything?

everything.

Have the folder in as Season 2006, have used all the correct naming, nothing is coming back. No issue when I did old school ECW yesterday

OK, so i rolled my kodi database back to before i scrapped ECW. I then ran the Kodi Scraper again. It picks up ECW and other things, but still refuses to see Season 2006. Is the data OK in the Database (your end).

Are you able to hit the API with any data for 2006 and see if anything comes back?

Same issue 2007, 2008. If it were an issue my end, then ECW surley would not have scrapped?

What have you been able to scrape successfully?

Just tested the api for this https://www.thesportsdb.com/api/v1/json/xxx/searchfilename.php?e=WWE 2007-01-16 ECW #32 and it came back fine.

The complete ECW (Original) not WWE ECW, WWE 2022 -> all fine.

Anything 2006, 2007, 2008 wont work.

Folder structure is Sports > WWE > Season 2006

I have added a file for raw using the format on the page, and as far as the Kodi Scraper is concerned there is no differnece in folder / does not pick the file up.

I have looked at the KODI DB file inside the episodes table, and there is no data in there for 2006 (just incase it was a UI issue)

It won't work manually with the periods, if you try https://www.thesportsdb.com/api/v1/json/xxx/searchfilename.php?e=WWE%202006-01-02%20RAW%20#658

I'll check through the rest of your info and see if I can come up with any reason why its happening.

Hey,

If you action the GET request using google in the URL bar:

https://www.thesportsdb.com/api/v1/json/xxx/searchfilename.php?e=WWE 2007-01-16 ECW #32

Google will encode the URL on submission turning it into:

https://www.thesportsdb.com/api/v1/json/xxx/searchfilename.php?e=WWE%202007-01-16%20ECW%20#32

This is what i did to get NULL Event. Your way above throws a 404 (not found), or my way Event = null.

Even if i try the royal rumble 2006:

https://www.thesportsdb.com/api/v1/json/xxx/searchfilename.php?e=WWE%202006%2001%2029%20Royal%20Rumble%202006

null result.

Just feels like there is a disconnect in the database, maybe a relationship somewhere?

A quick check for KODI would be to install the exe/dmg onto machine, have the folder structure in Downloads/Documents and just scan it.

Anyway, appreciate you looking into it

https://www.thesportsdb.com/api/v1/json/xxx/searchfilename.php?e=WWE%202007-01-16%20ECW%20#32

This works fine for me with my API key and also the free key.
https://www.thesportsdb.com/api/v1/json/2/searchfilename.php?e=WWE%202007-01-16%20ECW%20#32

Even if i try the royal rumble 2006:

https://www.thesportsdb.com/api/v1/json/xxx/searchfilename.php?e=WWE%202006%2001%2029%20Royal%20Rumble%202006

The url is wrong here, it is missing the hyphens between the date.
https://www.thesportsdb.com/api/v1/json/2/searchfilename.php?e=WWE%202006-01-29%20Royal%20Rumble%202006 works fine.

Yep, you are correct, sorry.

Also just tried: https://www.thesportsdb.com/api/v1/json/***/searchfilename.php?e=WWE%202006-06-19%20RAW%20#682

100% puzzled on why it's not picking it up

Can you post the exact filename and location you are trying to scrape? And also the event URL from here, I can test.

I'm not an expert in how the Kodi scraper works but I know there are specific cases and characters where it doesn't work.

Hey Zag, unsure on event URL.

Exact paths

\Wrestling\Sports\WWE\Season 2006\WWE.2006-05-01.RAW.#675.mp4
https://www.thesportsdb.com/event/1544441

\Wrestling\Sports\WWE\Season 2006\WWE.2006-05-05.SmackDown.#351.mp4
https://www.thesportsdb.com/event/1552173

\Wrestling\Sports\WWE\Season 2006\WWE.2006-05-08.RAW.#676.mp4
https://www.thesportsdb.com/event/1544440

Today I deleted the whole folder and re-added it again, and again it does not see it.

Later I am going to create a fresh install of KODI and then try and scrape the whole folder (with all years again) and see if it pulls data).

POST update .

1. Delete old Kodi folder with database etx
2. Open KODI and have a brand new setup
3. Install Scraper from ZIP
4. Add Source as TV Shows and TheSportsDB as the scraper
5. Point and scrape from \Sports

Results

- ECW > Works
- TNA > Works
- WWE > Broken

So looking further into WWE, where 2007, 2008, 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014 used to scrape, now they do not

2015, 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019, 2020, 2021, 2022 Do.

This now rules out:

- My Naming conventions (I have checked the naming conventions against the site, they are correct, and they scraped correctly in the last 2 months. (Tried to get exact date from KODI database, but it is not present).

- My Database being corrupt
- Media source being corrupt

Really quick way to test this (as i did)

Create a folders

Sports > WWE > Season 2015
Sports > WWE > Season 2000

In each one add a media file with name given on detail page and scrape. 2015 will show, 2000 wont

I believe the kodi scraper is reliant on the league name, season name and round number only. Check those 3 match the data on TheSportsDB and you should be good. I'll try to give it a test in the next few days but its good to see you are at least getting some results.
