New design for thumbs

Dates in the thumbs aren't ideal, but I couldn't get the composition to work any other way. Thoughts?

I would suggest to simply remove date & round number in order to be able to use them in future seasons

The only trouble I have with that is just how bare it looks in those places without the text.

Is there any way you would switch it around to stop that from happening?

A template for Switzerland, but again it does suffer from not being reusable.

Last one for today, tried to do Denmark in a bit of a knock-off Premier League style just because I was interested in how a template like that would work with variables.

Thanks a lot!

Honestly, its the quickest I've made a template so far, I saw the Magenta Sports thumbs and it was so easy to put together from there.

Dutch Eredivisie and Eerste Divisie, German 3.Liga, Turkish SüperLig, and Polish Ekstraklasa have all had thumbs uploaded for the season.

Unfortunately I only had enough time today to upload thumbs for the English Championship and League 1, League 2 should be soon.

Post here if you're unsure about they look.

They are great. The only one I'm not sure is the one related to Polish Ekstraklasa... Maybe using the poster league as a base will do the trick:

You're right, I wasn't overly happy about the Polish thumbs either, I will definitely rework them.

And of course I'll share the script, but I need to warn you its even hackier than the stats upload one. I'll do my best to make it understandable and how I've been creating the CSVs.

Here is the link to the script https://drive.google.com/file/d/1yiivzjCC8ejIHYhga0f7tXsFdafPkIF5/view?usp=sharing

The big thing is saving the thumbs from Photoshop with the TSDB event ID. To do this I use a Chrome extension called Linkclump*, this allows me to copy all the URLs from the season page and then you can paste them into a spreadsheet, using Find and Replace I take out the 'https://www.thesportsdb.com/event/' part of the URLs.

I then use the 'Download as CSV?' link on the season page to copy the team names and paste them into the spreadsheet, and then the 'Split text to columns' to be able to delete the date, rounds and scores columns, so that eventually you end up with something that looks like this https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1R-dELSTUY8O2T1-Wd-BjYCziCSlzPYi4p7KYPZgIJls/edit?usp=sharing, that can then be downloaded and used in the script and in Photoshop to create your variables.

Obviously if you have any questions I'm happy to help.

Today I've added thumbs for Mexico Liga BBVA, Swedish Allsvenskan, and Japanese J-League 1.

Yesterday I added thumbs for Czech and Slovak Fortuna Ligas, and English League 2.

Thanks! They're probably the the most complicated design I have attempted so far, I'm very happy with how they turned out.

Here's a potential design for MLS thumbs.

I've used this as a base design https://twitter.com/MLS/status/1312957555866587142

Thoughts?

Tested and worked perfect! TY!

PS: Just one remark, on the .py file, I changed this:

from webdriver_manager.chrome import ChromeDriverManager
driver = webdriver.Chrome(ChromeDriverManager().install())

Into this in order to make it run:

PATH = "/Users/Ovokx/Downloads/chromedriver" # Add the path to your Chrome webdriver here.
driver = webdriver.Chrome(PATH)

That's great to hear!

I used the auto driver install and update as I was getting a compatibility errors with a local version, but I'm glad you figured put how to get it working for yourself.

Scotland will be uploaded soon, and China will be next.

I'm having a hard time finding any base materials to make the Chinese thumbs from though, so if you know of any please post them.

Are you 100% about that?

I can't find anything else that looks similar to what you posted, but there are quite a few things that have this style on the CSL website...
