Frederick John Woodman (born 4 March 1997) is an English professional footballer who plays as a goalkeeper for Preston North End.

Woodman started his career at Crystal Palace before moving to the academy set up at Newcastle United in 2013. Woodman has represented England up to U21 level. He has won the 2014 UEFA European Under-17 Football Championship and the 2017 FIFA U-20 World Cup with his country, receiving the Golden Glove award for best goalkeeper in the latter tournament.

On 16 September 2014, Woodman was sent on a month long loan to Hartlepool to gain experience of being in a first team environment. After six appearances as an unused substitute, Woodman returned to Newcastle.

In December 2014, an injury crisis at Newcastle led to speculation that Woodman might make his first team debut for Newcastle United in the Tyne and Wear derby against Sunderland. By the end of the season Woodman had established himself as the second choice keeper at Newcastle making a string of appearances on the bench.
