David Gilliland (born April 1, 1976) is an American professional stock car racing driver and team owner. He competes part-time in the NASCAR Gander Outdoors Truck Series, driving the No. 17 Toyota Tundra for DGR-Crosley. Born in Riverside, California, he is the son of former Cup and Winston West driver Butch Gilliland, and the father of NASCAR Gander Outdoors Truck Series driver Todd Gilliland.
Gilliland's only win in the NASCAR Xfinity Series in considered one of the biggest racing upsets of all time. Gilliland later won a Daytona 500 pole, one of two poles he collected at the famed Daytona International Speedway overall.
