Christopher Alan Archer (born September 26, 1988) is an American professional baseball pitcher who is a free agent. He has played in Major League Baseball (MLB) for the Tampa Bay Rays, Pittsburgh Pirates and Minnesota Twins.
He attended Clayton High School in Clayton, North Carolina. Archer was drafted by the Cleveland Indians in the fifth round of the 2006 MLB draft. After he was traded to the Chicago Cubs and then the Rays. Archer was selected to the 2015 and 2017 MLB All-Star Games.
Archer made his MLB debut June 20, 2012, for the Tampa Bay Rays.
