Enrique José Hernández González (born August 24, 1991), nicknamed Kike is a Puerto Rican professional baseball utility player for the Los Angeles Dodgers of Major League Baseball (MLB). He has previously played in MLB for the Houston Astros, Miami Marlins and Boston Red Sox.
His nickname is Kike (/ˈkiːkeɪ/ KEE-kay), sometimes spelled Kiké during English-language television broadcasts to prevent it from being confused with an anti-Semitic slur that has a different pronunciation. He has played every position except catcher in the major leagues, though he has spent the most time in the outfield and second base. The Astros drafted Hernández in the sixth round of the 2009 Major League Baseball draft, and he was called up to the majors for the first time in 2014.
