Description Available in:
Maserati Monaco Sports Group Racing is a Monegasque racing team that will compete in Formula E, which is organized by the Fédération Internationale de l'Automobile (FIA). The team will be formed from Venturi Racing and will make its debut in the series in the 2022–23 season.
On 10 January 2022, Maserati announced that it would enter Formula E as a manufacturer, in partnership with a yet-to-be-announced team. Its debut in the electric single-seater category was scheduled for the 2022–23 season, marking its return to single-seater racing after 65 years, when the manufacturer had last competed in Formula One in 1957. As a result, Maserati will become the first Italian constructor and manufacturer to compete in Formula E.
Subsequently, on 7 April, an agreement was announced for a multi-year partnership between Maserati and Venturi Racing for the Maserati Formula E team to operate from Venturi's base and structure in Monaco. With this deal, the Venturi name would be retired, which had been present on the Formula E grid since its inaugural season. However, most of Venturi's remaining structure will remain.
