As well as its main two-car squad in 2013, Volkswagen registered a second team, Volkswagen Motorsport II, for rising star Andreas Mikkelsen’s 10-round programme.
Mikkelsen again ran under the Volkswagen Motorsport II banner in 2014, but this time for a full 13-round season, during which he finished second on three occasions.
Mikkelsen’s development programme continues in 2015 with another full season in the Polo R.
