Description Available in: Pyramids Football Club (Arabic: نادي بيراميدز لكرة القدم), is an Egyptian football club based in Cairo, Egypt. The club currently plays in the Egyptian Premier League, the highest league in the Egyptian football league system.
Al Assiouty Sport was formed in 2008 in Assiut. The club was promoted to the Egyptian Premier League for the first time in its history in 2014, after winning the promotion play-offs.
In the summer of 2018 the Chairman of the Saudi Sports Authority Turki Al Sheikh took over the team. The team's name was changed from Al Assiouty Sport to Pyramids FC and the money he invested in the club went on to affect the Egyptian Premier League. On 28 June 2018, former Al Ahly’s coach, Hossam El Badry was announced as chairman of the club, Ahmed Hassan as spokesman and football team supervisor, Hady Khashaba as football director and former Botafogo coach Alberto Valentim as the new manager.
On 4 July 2019, the Emirati businessman Salem Al Shamsi managed to acquire the ownership of Pyramids FC.
