Jong Volendam is the reserve team of FC Volendam and contains mainly players who are not yet eligible for a place in the first team. The team has been playing in the Dutch Second Division since 2019. It previously played in the U23 league and the Third Division. The U23 team became champion in 2019 and thus promoted to the Second Division , the highest amateur level. For the new season (2019/20), Johan Plat was appointed as the successor of trainer Johan Steur .
