The Seoul Samsung Thunders (Korean: 서울 삼성 썬더스) are a professional basketball club, competing in the Korean Basketball League since its inception 24 years ago. The Seoul Samsung Thunders received their name from Samsung Electronics. Initially based in Suwon, they are now located in the South Korean capital, Seoul, and play at Jamsil Arena.

Jamsil Arena (Korean: 잠실체육관), also known as Jamsil Indoor Stadium, is an indoor sporting arena. It is part of Seoul Sports Complex, located in Seoul, South Korea. The capacity of the arena is 11,069 for basketball and was built from December 1976 to April 1979. The Seoul Samsung Thunders are the tenants.
