Moana Pasifika is a rugby union team made up of players from various Pacific island nations, including Fiji, Samoa, Tonga and the Cook Islands, organised by New Zealand Rugby (NZR), that competes in the Super Rugby competition. The team was originally created for a one-off match at the end of the New Zealand 2020 rugby union season against the Māori All Blacks, with the future intention of trying to join the Super Rugby competition.
On 14 April 2021, NZR confirmed the side had been granted a conditional licence to join the Super Rugby competition.
On 12 July 2021, the team were granted an unconditional licence, confirming them for the 2022 Super Rugby season.

It is the main tenant of the National Rugby League team, the New Zealand Warriors, and occasionally hosts rugby union and international rugby league matches. Built within the quarried remnants of the Rarotonga / Mount Smart volcanic cone, it is located 10 kilometres south of the city centre, in the suburb of Penrose.
