Description
The Pocono Organics 325 is a NASCAR Cup Series stock car race held annually at Pocono Raceway in Long Pond, Pennsylvania. The race is the first of two NASCAR Cup Series races at Pocono Raceway, with the other being the Pocono 350, held the next day. First held as a 500-mile (800 km) race during the 1982 season, it served as a replacement for the 400-mile (640 km) race at Texas World Speedway. Starting in 2012, the race distance was reduced to 400 miles.
The Pocono Organics 325 in partnership with Rodale Institute marks the 85th race hosted by Pocono Raceway in Cup Series history. The 2.5-mile track located in Long Pond, Pennsylvania is known as the “Tricky Triangle.” Pocono Raceway has an unusual 3-turn configuration, where turn 1 has 14 degrees of banking, turn 2 has 8 degrees of banking, and turn 3 has 6 degrees of banking. The track first opened in 1971, with the Cup Series holding its inaugural race, won by Richard Petty, in 1974.

Harvick crossed the finish line in Saturday’s Pocono Organics 325 just .761 seconds ahead of Hamlin to post his third victory of the season — tying Hamlin for the NASCAR Cup Series lead — and the 52nd of his career, 12th most all-time.
