Video Highlights
Description Saturday dawns in Portugal with the qualifying session for the three categories at the Estoril Circuit. The final results of this Superpole decide the grid for the first races in the three categories of the World Superbike.
Toprak Razgatlioglu wins in Estoril in race one as Jonathan Rea seals the title. The Turkish rider led from pole position to take a timely second win of the year, his first having come in the first race of the year at Phillip Island. He was joined on the podium by Chaz Davies (ARUBA.IT Racing – Ducati) and American Garrett Gerloff (GRT Yamaha WorldSBK Junior Team) as they fought off Rea to secure a podium place.
Rea's fourth place was enough to give him the title as main challenger
Scott Redding (ARUBA.IT Racing – Ducati) retired from the race with a technical issue.
The records and the Championships keep coming for Jonathan Rea as he secured his sixth consecutive MOTUL FIM Superbike World Championship.
