The European Tour will return with the German Darts Championship in Hildesheim, which will end a six-month break since the Belgian Darts Championship had opened the season on the continent. The second European Tour event of the year, staged in front of fans at Halle 39, will see 48 PDC stars competing for £140,000 in prize money across three days from September 25-27.
Friday's first round will see 32 qualifiers in action, the seeded players, including the world's top three Michael van Gerwen, Peter Wright and Gerwyn Price, will enter at the second round stage on Saturday.
Devon Petersen became the first African player to win a PDC ranking event at the German Darts Championship in Hildesheim on Sunday. South African Petersen defeated Jonny Clayton 8-3 in the final at Halle 39.
