Description
WrestleMania 32 will be the thirty-second annual WrestleMania professional wrestling pay-per-view (PPV) event produced by WWE. It will take place on April 3, 2016, at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas. This will be the third WrestleMania to be held in the state of Texas after 2001 and 2009, and the first to take place in the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex area.

After Seth Rollins was forced to vacate the WWE World Heavyweight Championship due to injury, Triple H offered Roman Reigns, the #1 contender to Rollins’ title, a spot in The Authority to bypass the tournament set up to crown a new champion, but Reigns refused and competed in the tournament. Reigns won the tournament and the vacant title at Survivor Series, but a distraction from Triple H allowed Sheamus to cash in his Money in the Bank contract and win the title. After Sheamus retained the title against Reigns in a Tables, Ladders, and Chairs match at TLC: Tables, Ladders and Chairs with help from Alberto Del Rio and Rusev, Reigns attacked the trio. Reigns then attacked and injured Triple H, who came out to stop him. Reigns defeated Sheamus in a title vs. career match the following night on Raw to regain the title. For attacking Triple H and defying the McMahon family, WWE owner/chairman/CEO Vince McMahon forced Reigns to defend his title in the 30-man annual Royal Rumble match at the Royal Rumble event. At the event, Triple H returned as the #30 entrant and eliminated Reigns en route to winning the title. At Fastlane, Reigns defeated Dean Ambrose and Brock Lesnar in a #1 contender Triple threat match, earning a title match against Triple H at WrestleMania. On the February 22 episode of Raw, Triple H interfered in the main event between Reigns and Sheamus. Triple H beat a bloodied Reigns before delivering a Pedigree onto the steel steps.

On the February 22 episode of Raw, Vince McMahon presented the first ever "Vincent J. McMahon Legacy of Excellence" Award to his daughter Stephanie McMahon. As Stephanie was about to receive her award, Shane McMahon returned to WWE for the first time since 2009 to confront his father and sister in regards to the company's status. After Stephanie exited the ring, Vince and Shane discussed the status of Raw and how it was getting run down. Vince then made a deal with Shane that he would gain control of Raw if he would wrestle one more match. Shane accepted the offer, but Vince named The Undertaker as his opponent and made the match a Hell in a Cell match.

At Fastlane, Brock Lesnar had Roman Reigns in the Kimura Lock submission hold until Dean Ambrose attacked Lesnar with a steel chair, effectively costing Lesnar the match. The next day before Raw was aired, a video was posted to WWE's Facebook showing Lesnar attack Ambrose as he arrived at the arena and Ambrose was taken to the hospital in an ambulance. On Raw, Paul Heyman issued a challenge to anyone on the roster to face Lesnar at WrestleMania. An injured Ambrose, driving the ambulance, came out and challenged Lesnar to a No Holds Barred street fight, which Lesnar accepted.
