Description Ash Sutton won a wet-dry penultimate round of the 2020 Kwik Fit British Touring Car Championship at Brands Hatch as the Laser Tools Racing star edges closer in his quest to win a second Drivers’ title.
Sutton superbly controlled the race at the head of the field and set the fastest lap by 0.1s ahead of Turkington, earning him an all-important extra championship point in the process.
After finishing third, Colin Turkington was penalised by the addition of two seconds to his overall race time in Round 26 of the Kwik Fit British Touring Car Championship after gaining an advantage under yellow flags.
Dan Cammish was subsequently promoted to third in the final classification, with Turkington now fourth.
As it stands, Sutton will carry a nine-point lead ahead of Turkington into the last race of the season.
