Rugby league would be excellent, specifically NRL. The Fox Sports website for the NRL supplies info via an API that returns JSON. Depending upon what you have in place already it could be pretty simple to pull that API data in to your DB.

I don't have a ton of free time, but I am a developer, so it is possible I could maybe lend a hand. I used to write mainly C# with a little Java mixed in here and there, but now I am working mostly with JS. I have been messing around with Python lately to work on the Plex agent that searches this site, actually.

The original dev looks to have dropped support so I am hoping that I can fork the code and make some more updates. Of course this is all spurred on by my needs, and one of the sports I watch/record regularly is NRL, so of course I am being self serving.

We already actually support NRL here:

It's not automated yet, but if you have the link to the JSON feed I can take a look. Should be pretty simple.

Here is the coming weeks matchups:

You can see from the payload the various filter options available. Unfortunately I haven't been able to figure out how to get anything less granular than one round at a time though. It does look like you'd be able to pull historical data though, which is nice.

You could try pulling by team and season, and that may be the fastest way to get the data out:
