So pretty much every sport league has been suspended in the last few days due to authorities panicking, err I mean a virus. This weekend without football I even had to talk to my girlfriend some more Lets hope it returns soon!!

I'll probably need to re-arrange a lot of leagues when it resumes, but lets see how it goes.

Lucky I didn't spend the time importing the MLB baseball as it was the biggest import

Oh well, more time to fill out teams and players now....

In terms of cancelled events, should we delete these from the db or leave them without scores on?

Yes its a question i've been wondering as well, lets see what continues and what gets cancelled.

If for example the football season starts up again, the importer should migrate the dates automatically.

I see here a big issue as all rescheduled events will have the "Potential Filenames" names wrong. Is it possible to add a function to rename/update that field automatically when date is changed? If not I think that events should be deleted and create new ones...

Good point, I should be able to update that as well but lets see how it goes, I think many might just be cancelled.

I've added the ability to edit an event to "postpone" it.

Soccer should be automatic but other sports may need to be done manually.

Events can be un-postponed if they ever start back up with new dates.

How do we mark events cancelled?

We should difference between postposned and cancelled. If it's postponed, on the event you have a field to indentify it. If it's confirmed as cancelled, then it should be removed.

Yes any cancelled event should probably be removed, but lets see how it goes, we dont know where all this will end up.

Any possibility of adding the postponement flag to the league level. I've spotted a few issues with certain leagues.

The importer kept postponing Australian A-League games (672705) when they weren't postponed, seemed to rewrite every hour or so.

None of the lower Italian league games are flagged as postponed. (Lega Pro, Serie C)

Yeh all depends on the importer really, some leagues use the 2nd source.

Basically we just need to wait for now.

Could we see if we could kick the importer to import the Belarusian Premier League, seems to be the only league running and I'm having to manually add the events. Scores are being updated so looks like there is a source

I updated all the AFC Champions League games last night to be postponed, but looks like thats been overwritten this morning. Could we look at postponing the whole league? Also missing the Copa Libertadores from suspended

Yeh the importer is doing what its supposed to do, which is fix any data. Sadly the source data is bad in this case!

The postponed edit function should probably only be used for other sports now.

it seems that some soccer leagues will re-start again (german, english, austrian...). Should we remove postponed events or the importer will update them?

The importer should automatically update with rescheduled dates as well. It does this every 6hrs on average so no action is needed.

That is of course as long as the sources are correct

"Potential Filenames" will be also updated? If not, if you scrap the events using this info, events will not be found

Yep the filenames and event names are re-written on update.
