[Concept] Soccer Player Page |

 Ovokx Posts: 1,705 Joined: 2020-06-17 | Summer holidays is a good period of time for me for finishing lot of concepts/redesigns that I have on my mind and today I'm pleased to present a new look for the soccer player pages. Here you can see a list with new features, updates and removals: New features: - Latest goal video: Directly linked with events info and only will pop-up if a player has a goal entered on a event timeline or (thinking on goalkeepers) has been named "Player of the Match" through the new option of "Milestones" - Player career: Groups all info displayed currently in "Honours" and "Formers" fields - Milestones: Displays achievements/milestones which are not labelled as "Honours" such team player of the season, hat-trick, player of the match, player of the month, records, etc. - Evolution chart: Displays a chart directly linked with the stats included on the "Player Career" - Mobile wallpaper: New art added on the "Fanart" section Updates: - "Outfitter" & "Kit" has been united into only "Main Sponsor" logo for easy update (see "Nike Mercurial" logo on "Biography" section) - "Birth Place" has been splitted into two different fields as currently can make confusion will adding info: "Birth Place" and "Citizenship" and removed the country flag - "Market Value" has been renamed into "Signing Value" - "Team" and "2nd Team" links has been changed into logos (see them beside "Team Number") - "Career Honours" has been grouped on the new section "Player Career" - "Former Youth Teams" has been grouped on the new section "Player Career" - "Former Senior Teams" has been grouped on the new section "Player Career" - "Former Club Staff" has been grouped on the new section "Player Career" Removals: - "Side" as they're not updated - "Agent" as they're not updated - "Wage Year" as they're not updated - "Contracts" as they're not updated - "Player Recent stats" card as displayed info will be now displayed on "Player Career" and "Evolution" chart - "News Reports" as they're not updated ...and now, here you go!  (full resolution can be seen here: https://i.postimg.cc/BbDbx7DZ/player-v2-copy.jpg) Why I called this concept "Soccer Player Page" instead of just "Player Page"? Because there are some sections/fields which can't be used for all sports player pages: - Header displays current season stats and the only sport which such info is soccer. I don't know if basketball can be implemented - "Player Career" stats are not available for all sports - "Evolution" chart is fed from the stats displayed on "Player Career) If this concept got implemented, I'll share all technical specs and assets, and present the rest of concepts for other sports by changing only the mentioned fields. Posts: 871 Joined: 2020-06-17 | I'd be interested to see what it looks like blank when a new player is created and also how buttons to edit would be incorporated. I'm not really a fan of the font you've used, especially for the smaller text, it is isn't the easiest to read at that size, it also has the appearance of looking a bit squashed. I think milestones is a good idea, but I'm not sure if implementing them like this is the way to go, its not entirely clear when the milestone occurs and what would happen if there were more than two milestones in a month. Would the graphics need to be made for each milestone? I'm not a fan of how the honours are displayed, would it mean players need to be recorded as having played in a competition for the honour to be displayed? It might work for larger competitions, but no so much when some competitions aren't updated as regularly. Also, as Zag stated, I don't think it would work for all sports. The way you've displayed all the fanart and player pictures looks great, that's definitely my favourite part of the redesign. Ovokx, zag | ||

You are right about that this new look won't work for all sports as I already indicated (or at least, tried to do so) at the end of my previous post. The idea is copying the structures that we have for events and also for player pages (currently we have 2: "Team vs Team" and "Individual"). My intention is to just add 1 more structure/layout for player pages: - Current season stats (soccer is currently the only one that has this "live" info) - Team vs Team - Individual (current structure for fighting, athletics, etc) This new layout is the one presented here. Here you can see the requested look with a blank player page. I also have removed from the "Player Career" section the honors part and filed it with all the edit buttons. I'll work on a different way for displaying both, honors and milestones:  Again, thanks for your comments!  zag | ||
