La Basketball Bundesliga (BBL) también conocida por motivos de patrocinio como BEKO BBL, es la competición de baloncesto profesional de más alto nivel que se disputa en Alemania. Es organizada por la Deutscher Basketball Bund.
Fue creada en el año 1939, siendo pronto suspendida a causa de la Segunda Guerra Mundial, no reiniciándose hasta 1947. A partir del año 1966 se convirtió en una competición profesional.
El equipo que más ligas ha ganado es el Bayer Giants Leverkusen, con 14 títulos. En los últimos tiempos han sido dominadores el ALBA Berlin, ganando 7 títulos consecutivos desde 1997 hasta 2003, y Brose Baskets, con seis títulos entre 2004 y 2013.
