On 31 August 2015, Berić joined Saint-Étienne on four-year deal reportedly worth around €7 million. He quickly established himself in the starting lineup and began scoring goals for the club in both the Ligue 1 and the UEFA Europa League campaigns. However, on 8 November during an away match against Lyon, Berić suffered a knee injury which sidelined him for the rest of the season.
