Leicester Riders forward Pierre Hampton has returned for his third season with the Club, after being named to the Molten BBL Team of the Year for the 2017/18 season. The 27-year old Swedish forward has played for the Riders for the last two seasons, when Riders won the treble of trophies, the BBL Championship, the BBL Trophy, and the BBL Playoffs, two years in a row.
Hampton also played for Swedish Senior National Team between 2013 and 2014, and previously for the Swedish U-20 National Team between 2010 and 2011, and represented Sweden at the World University Games in Kazan (Russia) five years ago. Hampton has played previously professionally in Sweden for four different clubs, Norrkoping Dolphins, Uppsala Basket, Orebro and KFUM Uppsala, as well as having a spell at Plymouth Raiders.
Last season for the Riders Hampton scored 14 points a game, second best on the team, while shooting an exceptional 60% from the floor and a team leading 47% from the three point line. He also pulled down 6 rebounds a game, and dished out over 2 assists per game on the way to back to back treble winning seasons with the club.
