Cole Seely (born March 10, 1990) is an American professional motocross racer.
Cole Seely’s road to a successful racing career and a ride with the factory Honda team was a little unconventional compared to most of his competition. Seely was never an amateur standout and even quit racing for a brief period at age 16, but his passion for racing brought him back. His pure talent and his background as an amateur BMX racer prepared him well for when he turned pro in 2009 and signed with the Troy Lee Designs Honda team for the following season.

Currently in his fifth season racing in the premier class and riding for Honda’s factory team, Cole Seely is a smooth and natural rider, as well as a multitalented athlete who grew up riding and racing BMX before making his transition to motocross. In fact, the laid-back native Southern Californian is still an avid cyclist and also spends time participating in other hobbies, including skateboarding and drifting, for which he owns a dedicated automobile.

Seely’s professional motocross career began in 2009, and throughout his time in the 250SX West class, he was consistently in contention for the podium and race wins. In 2011, he notched two supercross victories en route to fourth overall in the series. He continued to impress by adding another win to his belt the following season, and finished third overall in points during his 2013 campaign. Seely’s 2014 season proved even more successful, as he tallied a pair of 250SX wins and challenged for the class title up until the final round, eventually settling for second. Prior to 2015, Seely had more premier-class experience than any of his fellow first-year competitors, having filled in for factory Honda on multiple occasions and even scoring his first 450SX class podium in 2014.

In 2015, Seely solidified his place among the top 450SX riders, notching his debut premier-class Supercross win, as well as numerous podium appearances, finishing third in the final points standings and earning official Rookie of the Year honors. In 2016, he tallied four podium finishes indoors, although an injury limited him to fourth place in the final standings. In the AMA Motocross series, he was enjoying his best season to date, notching two podium moto results and regularly leading laps before he was once again sidelined by an injury.

Equipped with an all-new bike, Seely found early success in the 2017 supercross season, landing on the podium at Anaheim 2 with a third and Arlington with a second. Unfortunately, he did not gain the momentum he had hoped for in the latter part of the season as injuries caused him to miss multiple rounds. During the AMA Motocross series, the Californian scored his career-first overall podium result of third at the muddy Unadilla National.

2018 proved to be a challenge for Seely as he suffered a nearly career-ending crash at the Tampa Supercross, ultimatley sidelining him for the remainder of the year. For 2019, Seely is more driven than ever to deliver consistent results and be a threat for race wins.
