Samuele Cavalieri returns to WorldSBK after two appearances throughout 2020 with the Barni Racing Team on the Ducati Panigale V4 R. For his first full-time campaign in the World Championship, Cavalieri will ride the new Kawasaki ZX-10RR as he joins the TPR Team Pedercini Racing outfit alongside Loris Cresson.
The Italian rider made his WorldSBK in 2019 at the Misano World Circuit “Marco Simoncelli” and scored two 13th place finishes on a points-scoring debut. He returned in 2020 with the Barni Racing Team and scored a best result of 16th place as he narrowly missed out on points on his return. The 23-year-old has spent four seasons competing in the Italian superbike CIV championship and has been consistently fighting at the front, finishing second in 2020 and fourth in 2019 with nine podiums and two pole positions across those two seasons. He also claimed podiums in 2017 and 2018, showing he is able to consistently fight at the front.
