Clarke Sydney Omondi Oduor (born 25 June 1999) is a Kenyan professional footballer who is currently playing for Bradford City in EFL League Two. he plays as a left back, however he is a natural attacking midfielder, and can also play as a winger.
Career
Leeds United
He started his career at Leeds United's academy and on 16 January 2017 Oduor signed a professional deal at the club where he was given the number 54 shirt.
He made his professional debut on 6 January 2019 when he came on as an 85th-minute substitute for Leif Davis during a 2–1 defeat to Queens Park Rangers in the third round of the FA Cup.
On 17 February 2019, Oduor signed a new contract at Leeds, extending his deal until the end of the 2019–20 season with the option of a further year.
Oduor featured regularly for Carlos Corberán's Leeds United Under 23's side over the course of the 2018–19 season, showing his versatility by playing as left back, left wing back, winger and as a forward over the course of the 2018–19 season, that won the PDL Northern League 2018–19 Season by winning the league, they then became the national Professional Development League Champions by beating Birmingham City in the final.
On 13 July 2019, Oduor was one of just 16 players named in Marcelo Bielsa's first team squad for Leeds' 2019-20 pre-season tour of Australia for matches against Manchester United and West Sydney Wanderers.
Barnsley
On deadline day August 2019, Oduor signed a four year deal to join Barnsley becoming the fourth young player to make the switch from West Yorkshire to South Yorkshire in the 2019 summer transfer window.
On 7 December 2019 Oduor made his first appearance for Barnsley which was also his first Championship appearance. He was substituted in at 90+3 minute.
On 14 December 2019 Oduor made his first start in the Championship League for Barnsley. Despite his natural position as a center-attacking midfielder, he played at left-back replacing an injured Ben Williams. He was substituted off in the 83rd minute.
On 26 December 2019 Oduor received his first Man of the Match award, on his third start for Barnsley whilst playing against West Bromwich Albion who were, at the time, top of the Championship League. He scored his first goal in his career in the 93rd minute of the 2019-20 season against Brentford to keep Barnsley in the Championship relegating Charlton Athletic in the process.
International career
Oduor was eligible for both the Kenyan national team and the England national team at international level. He debuted for Kenya in a 2-1 friendly win over Zambia on 9 October 2020.
Style of Play
Oduor is known for his versatility, being able to play as a Winger on either flank or as a Left Back, Left wing-back or as a Left-Forward. With Oduor style known for his pace, incisive footwork and his ability to both defend and attack.
