Midfielder/Forward Hope Breslin was drafted 28th overall by Angel City Football Club (ACFC) in the third round of the 2022 NWSL Draft. Prior, she played collegiate soccer at The University of Illinois, starting in 16 games and scoring a career-high seven goals. Breslin finished her college career with 45 points and was named to the Top Drawer Soccer Team of the Week on August 24, 2021. Breslin played on Gotham Reserves in the 2021 WPSL season and was named the 2021 WPSL Offensive player of the year, Scholar-Athlete honors twice, and Academic All-B1G four times. She currently holds the Massapequa High school record with 82 career goals and 35 goals scored during her senior year. Other high school accolades include being named the 2017 NHSCA Girls’ Soccer Athlete of the Year, 2015 New York State Gatorade Player of the Year, and 2-time New York State Player of the Year.
