Optimum Motorsport was founded in 2007, but the origins of the team began in early 2000, and it is today run by Shaun Goff. Over the past eight years Optimum has developed future motorsport stars across multiple Ginetta programmes, including Joe Osborne, Ryan Ratcliffe and Stewart Linn.
The Wakefield-based squad has scored five championship victories, most notably the 2013 British GT4 Class title with Ryan Ratcliffe and Rick Parfitt Jnr, and has become somewhat of a crack endurance racing team, winning the Dubai 24 Hours twice in four years, and the 2015 Mugello 12 Hours too.
