Description Available in: Club de Campo Villa de Madrid is a country club located in Madrid, Spain. The club was formed in 1929, and is regarded as one of the most prestigious in the country. It has a wide array of sports facilities including two championship golf courses, hockey pitches, tennis courts and swimming pools.
The hockey division is one of the most established and biggest sports at the club which was formed in 1929.
To date the ladies 1st eleven has won: 1 Recopa ,20 ligas de division de honor and 14copas de la reina. Within the club, 29 players have taken part in Olympic games since Los Angeles 1984, 5 of those won gold in Barcelona in 1992 and a further 5 won medals in Atlanta 1996 and Bejing 2008.
The club hosted the 2006 Women's World Cup, won by The Netherlands.
