Description Available in: L'Avenir Basket Berck Rang-du-Fliers - Côte d'Opale Sud is a French basketball club founded in 1929 under the name of the Association Sportive de Berck and representing the city of Berck and the neighboring town of Rang- du-Fliers. He had his heyday in the 1970s with a meteoric rise, passing in five years from the federal championship to the title of champion of France. The club won two titles of champion of France in 1973 and 1974 and played two semi-finals of the European Cup of Champions clubs in 1974 and 1975. After leaving the elite in the 80s, the club went back up successively to evolve in Nationale 2 then Nationale 1 from the 2015-2016 season to finally go down to Nationale 2 the following season. The club goes back to National 1 for the 2022-2023 season.
