Event Statistics Description This Saturday sees Blackpool and Fleetwood Town face each other in The Football League for the first time, in a derby on the Fylde Coast.
Just a matter of miles apart, Fleetwood is just a short tram ride from Blackpool, and their fans can travel to Bloomfield Road in buoyant mood after back-to-back Sky Bet League 1 victories.
They recorded a 2-1 win against Millwall on Tuesday, the ideal follow-up to an emphatic 5-1 rout of Swindon Town last weekend.
Incidentally, 5-1 was the scoreline in the only ever competitive meeting between these two clubs - an FA Cup triumph for the Tangerines back in 2012.
Fleetwood's goalscorer that day didn't make the headlines but, three years later, he is the talk of the nation.
Former striker Jamie Vardy grabbed the consolation and is hoping the Cod Army can avenge that loss, shortly before he attempts to continue his extraordinary goalscoring streak against Manchester United.
Speaking to Fleetwood's official website, the England striker said: “I’m hoping Saturday’s result against Blackpool is different to what it was in the Cup a few years back!
“As soon as we finish our games on a Saturday we get the scores up on the big screens and I always check for Fleetwood’s results.
“My time at Fleetwood was the start of things to come for me and the club, because they’re enjoying life in League 1 now - promotions through the divisions was something I always expected the club to achieve."

Result ListResult DescriptionNathan Pond's own goal ended Blackpool's seven-match losing streak in their first-ever league derby against Fleetwood Town.
Leicester City loanee Joe Davis' shot was headed off the line by Hayden White as Fleetwood started brightly.
But the hosts went ahead when Pond steered Brad Potts' cross into his own net, and Jack Redshaw should have doubled the lead, but shot wide.
David Henen's shot from a tight angle hit the woodwork as the hosts held on.
