Whats the new param needed for the league table api? /lookuptable.php?l=4331&s=2019-2020 or 1920 doesn't seem to work

Should work now, I removed the is_numeric check.

Let me know if you find any more...

Small one this but useful

- Clicking a player honour now jumps to the correct year on the honours page

Example: https://www.thesportsdb.com/honour.php? ... #2001-2002

Thanks to whoever has been filling out the older honours. So awesome to see the full winning teams of the past!

First attempt at a statistics feature...

- Add player statistics

Example: https://www.thesportsdb.com/player/34161290 (scroll to bottom)

Nice!

Does this pull through to the lookup player api too?

Not yet but that's the plan eventually.

Looks to be a bug when it comes to adding different teams, I definitely selected England from the drop down list of teams, but Liverpool and their crest is showing instead.

See here my proposal for extensible player stats:

I've been working hard behind the scenes on a new user registration system that isnt reliant on PHPBB any more.

While this is a lot of work, it will free up the dependencies to improve the rest of the site once done.

I'll be able to integrate the forums much more nicely going forward as well, although we will loose PHPBB entirely but I hope to keep all the posts and replace it with a simple custom forum that matches our theme.

EDIT: If anyone wants to suggest improvements to the forum or the style, make them now

Yep that's pretty much the entire motivation for doing it!

The forum update and user authentication feature is rolled out and live. I hope the site is usable again, the upgrade was a bit rocky in parts so sorry about that.

Still loads of work to do such as forum paging, search functions, BBCode improvements and new post notifications as well as some some fit and finish work. But this really opens up what is possible in the future for new features and integration as well as fixing the spam and dependency upgrade issues that have held the site back in recent years (from my point of view anyway).

Thanks for your patience during this time... I'm going to watch some premiership football for a few hours to celebrate after pretty much 20hrs work straight

EDIT: Testing image, yey it works!

Not sure if an easy fix, but when opening a long forum topic like this, it defaults to the first post, not the latest one meaning you have to scroll to the bottom and choose the latest tab.

Just an annoyance more than anything really, feel free to ignore me.

New forum is great though!

- Event comments now auto create a forum thread. I love this feature and it should give better visibility to events worth watching or talking about

https://www.thesportsdb.com/forum_section.php?t=10

NOTE: While I have not deleted old comments, they wont show any more. If you have an event that you commented on then simply comment again and it should work going forward.

Nice feature! It would be great that when the topic is created into the forum also include a link to the event in order to have a look to the highlights!

Thanks yes this is just the livescore importer finishing too quickly, its on the list to fix properly over the summer with a new main importer.

Yes I also had this idea, I took it even further to auto load the artwork thumbnails as well and the youtube direct highlight link. I hope you like!

Please do comment on awesome events you see, I love watching great goals or unique sports events.

In an attempt to encourage more use of creative commons images, I have added a new feature. Ultimately the sites long term survival will depend on this I guess:

- Player thumbs now show the reference to a creative commons image under the thumbnail.

Please if possible use creative commons images in the future. You will need to edit the player and scroll to the bottom to change the creative commons field to "Yes".

Formatted the player stats a little bit more. This is probably v1 complete. After that I will look at the nicer ideas to show them.

Would it be possible to add a page where you can see all events of any particular sport where the events are organised in UTC time order for today's date?

I think it would really help to validate already input information and also useful to know what events are starting if you just want something to watch.

Here is an example if you didn't quite follow what I was trying to explain, it was a quick cut and paste job so sorry about the lack of alignment.

On my concept for redesigning the front page, one of my requests/proposals was to add an event calendar just on the same way you say:

PS: See here full concept: https://www.thesportsdb.com/forumnew/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=4898

Zag said that it will be a summer new feature, so I hope it becomes live in short
