Daniel William Lawrence (born 12 July 1997) is an English professional cricketer who plays internationally for the England Test cricket team. In domestic cricket, he represents Surrey having previously represented Essex. Lawrence made his Test debut in 2021. He plays as a right-handed middle-order batsman, and occasional offbreak bowler.

Further progress followed in 2016 and 2017 and the 20-year-old has emerged as one of the finest talents in the English game. In 2017 he was named as Young Cricketer of the Year by the Cricket Writers’ Club after his 761 runs at 44.76, including three hundreds, helped the Club win the championship for the first time in 25 years. He also made is England Lions debut and was selected for a Lions training camp in Australia and the Caribbean.
