Yaroslav Amosov (born 9 September, 1993) is a Ukrainian welterweight sambo and MMA fighter. He is a three-time world sambo champion, a two-time European and Eurasia champion, and European Cup winner. Asomov is also the winner of many national and international competitions. Since 2018 he has been fighting in the Bellator.

Biography
Yaroslav Amosov had no prior interest in martial arts until he joined a sambo (martial art) club at the age of 16. While there, he trained at the Hermes Club in Kiev under coaches Fedor Seredyuk and Vadim Korytny.

Amosov made his first breakthrough at the international adult level in 2012 when he won the European Sambo Fighting Cup and subsequently achieved significant success in single combat. He became world champion for WCSF three times (in 2013, 2014, and 2015), and European champion for ECSF twice (2013 and 2014).

In September 2014, Asomov became the Professional Combat Sambo champion of Eurasia after defeating the Caucasian fighter Shamil Zavurov by submission.

Asomov has repeatedly won several combat sambo championships in Ukraine, and in March 2015, he became a Ukrainian sports-master.

In addition to his career as a combat sambo athlete, Amosov regularly competes in mixed martial arts (MMA). One of his first significant fights took place in August 2013, when he defeated Vadim Sandulsky. Amosov has fought in various Ukrainian promotional tournaments and, since 2014, has competed within the Russian organization Tech-Krep FC, winning seven fights while only being defeated by fighters from Russia, Europe and Brazil.

On 18 June, 2016, Amosov won a match against popular Croatian fighter Roberto Soldić, securing the welterweight title.

On 18 August, 2017, Amosov defended against Brazilian fighter Nathan Oliveira and remained a Bellator fighter.

On 13 July, 2018, at the Bellator 202 event (Budd vs. Nogueira), Amosov defeated Gerald Harris by unanimous decision.

On 16 February, 2019, at the Bellator 216 event (MVP vs. Daley), Amosov defeated Erick Silva, a fighter who has a record of 7 wins and 8 losses in the UFC.
